Well, decided to talk a look around other forums for intelligent life.
Seems to actually be some on BST forums, but that was about it. Reading other RNG and COR forums makes my brain hurt. Actually got defaulted on Alla for saying a full-time SMN/part-time COR should pick Redignote for pet augments over Mirke for Quick Draw augments. Thought it sounded sensible, oh well.
Also thought the post-nerf butthurt RNG was a thing of the past, but apparently those relics are still around swearing up and down the current ranged formula is broken (no), that we need auto-attack on ranged (go play in traffic) and then there's those people still really, really obsessed about where they're supposed to stand (not something I worry about that much).
Was happy to see yet again that RNG burns are alive and well on Odin, as I got a couple blind invites for some, too bad I was in Stellar Fulcrum waiting to do ACP at the time. Invites otherwise have been somewhat slow, but they do come.
I have run into a potential wall with RNG, though. Crafters just don't seem to be into making large quantities of ammo these days. The RNG population is pretty mild here, but you'd think based off the population that we'd still see more than enough people skilling woodworking, but the misnomer is still going around that there isn't a RNG market on Odin.
So I'm faced with the possibility of having to just start crafting the stuff myself. I think it would be for the best, really. Thing is, I might have to give up Foobar's Cooking craft to pull it off. He's just a point or two over 60, so breaking the contract wouldn't be a life ender. Not like its too terribly hard to get the jug pets I need anyway off AH, those actually seem to be in decent suuply.
While its tempting to consider learning to make bullets and arrows, I'm somewhat of the opintion that arrows would be the easier investment as arrows are the main problem. Bolts are easy to get, bullets reasonably available. Finding steady supplies of Demon, Marid and Kabura Arrows is a pain in the ass.
Foobar has light woodworking skill (early 20s) and Kitten has mid-50s boneworking). I figure this should at least carry me to 50 or 60 on Foobar. But I may as well look into bolts while I'm at it, so I need a crafting strategy there since I'm very disconnected from crafting at the moment.
